Bus activity in PCI Commands

 

Yes bus activities are in the form of transactions.Bus activities are between target,master or an initiator.

PCI commands that use in Bus activities are as follow.

 

Dual Address Cycle

Interrupt Acknowledge:It is the read command

Special Cycle: It is used to broadcast any message

Configuration Write

input output read: It is used to transfer data 

Configuration Read

Input output write

memory write and Invalidate

memory Read: It is used to transfer burst of a data

Memory Write

Memory Read line 

Memory Read Multiple

 

The C/BE lines are used to signal,these signals are of the transaction type.
