Burn process fails and shows error

This was a special burn though it was a CD in place of the DVD, since I didn’t try to take any risk with another TY disc.

It shows me the following error message:

DMA-driver error, CRC error
F: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H42N

Nero Express

Burn process failed at 16x (2,400 KB/s)
Need your help.

Thanks a lot.

Burn process fails and shows error

Hi,

This may emanate from encoding errors or hardware failure(s).

You may have to check on a few issues and also do one by one error elimination practice.

  • Replace your IDE cable with another.
  • See also if another burner fails too.
  • If it does work, you might uninstall your burning drive (the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H42N)in Device Manager, select you device and uninstall, reboot the system and upon detection of new device, install the drive and its drivers which have to be up to date.
  • Make certain that the DMA settings for the IDE Controller in Setup are set to AUTO.
  • When burning, set burn speeds lower than what you are using with the failures you had.
  • Try using another make/brand of CD.
