Hello there, I am trying to burn cds on my HP N5425 DVD drive, but it does not recognize any blank DVD. Is the drive to blame here or the software for burning? I would appreciate if am helped here, thank you.

The device HP N5425 DVD drive you are using only have DVD ROM as standard. So you can play DVD on it but not write. So it is the problem with your DVD drive. Simply replace your drive with an R/W DVD drive. I think it will not cost you much. I recommend you “Pioneer DVR-219LBK 24x Internal SATA" or “LITEON 1693”. Please visit a computer component seller and ask them which is better.
