BitDefender missing file, problem installing. Need to download again?

Missing file problem. Good day. I have tried to install it twice now but it seems that the installer really has a missing part in it. Do I download it again? Or is there something that I just need to adjust?

Installer information

The file ‘RegInfo.ui’ cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file ‘bdprof.cab.AE3C395 1_7A9 1_4185_86E7_6A9F788FE36 5’. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Ok

Regards,

Avel

Hello Avel,

It seems that your installer package is corrupted/incomplete. The cabinet files should be complete. If you just downloaded the bitdefender on the internet, there is a possibilities on downloading the whole package. It is not complete. There must be a problem in your internet connection the time you are downloading the installer package. Try to download it again, and compare its size. It must be larger than your previous downloaded installer. Try using IDM for downloading to minimize the possibilities of incomplete download.

Hi Avel,

If you are using a CD installer chances are it came out corrupted. What you can do is to open the contents of your CD installation by choosing Explore. Once there look through the folders or do a quick search for “bdprof.cab” Once found try copying it to the folder where the installer it, for you to know where the installer file look for files that has “.msi” extension. If the .cab file can’t be found ask for another copy of the installer or use a downloadable installer.
