the error may be in the device manager where the tapes should be mounted in the backup location.go to the computer management, then click the services ,right click on the services ,right click on the removable storage ,restart the removable .once the removable storage device started then go the

storage ,inside that media will be either inside free, import, unrecognized so drag and drop the media inside the backup pool.the particular media must be inside the backup area so that when you started backup is should write on that backup media.try the particular step and you will not get the error.

hi there,

This is error mostly relates to the Final error:0x469 – Physical end of tape encountered.

The cause of this error could be that there is a bad block on the storage media. or an incorrect SCSI ID settings, even incompatible drivers could cause the problem.

I can give you two solutions to the problem.
1.
The RSM or the Removable Storage Manager needs to disabled by going to Administrative tools in the Control panel and Clicking on services

2.
Install the latest device drivers from the manufacturer if disabling the RSM doesn't solve the problem
