Backup burner receive an error.

Hello,

Burning audio CDs are no problem on the Mac G4 867dp in my commercial project studio, but all of the sudden I can't backup simple data files (Pro Tools sessions, audio, fade files).

Here's the error message I receive AFTER I wait out a complete 650mb burn:

"The drive reported an error: Sense code=0x72, 0x03
Session Fixation error-incomplete track in the session."

Anyone experience such a thing? Any clues?

Hello Sharon,

It looks like you are having a problem in creating backup files while burning audio CDs. This problem is very common and often referred to as Medium Write Error. First you should check if the problems occurs only in CDs or are you able to burn DVDs. If you face the problem while burning CDs only then try CDs of another brand and you can also use lens cleaner in this case.
