Back up my computer without reformatting

I am really exasperated with my computer hard drive. It’s been hanging and crashing for numerous times each day. I want to know how I can make a back up for all my applications without reformatting my hard drive and without re-installing since I don’t have a driver for most of my software’s. I need help. Back up my computer without reformatting

Hello Scarlet Ellis,

If you need to do a backup of the contents that you have on the hard drive of your computer, then I will suggest that you get an external hard drive and then transfer all the important files that you do not want to risk loosing to the external hard drive.

You can also backup up the files on the same computer but on a partition that does not have the operating system with it so that when the system malfunctions and even crashes such that it will require you to reformat it, you will be faced with the risk of loosing anything important, since formatting will affect only the primary hard drive that has the operating system on it.
