When I try to scan my PC for viruses using Avira, it gives me this error and stops the scan, I think my computer is infected but I can't scan it because of the error.
Any suggestions?

To solve this problem you have to do the following:

Open Avira Antivirus Configuration with Expert Mode. Go to General – Security and then uncheckProtect files and registry entries from manipulation. Click Apply and Ok.

Download the avreg.dll file (v. 10.03.00.08) From the respective Avira Antivirus website.

Go to C:Program FilesAviraAntiVir Desktop and replace the former avreg.dll file with new downloadedavreg.dll. You can also replace it here: C:Program Files (x86)AviraAntiVir Desktop).

Again open Avira Antivirus Configuration and check Protect files and registry entries from manipulation. Click Apply and Ok.

Restart your computer.
You will get your problem solved and the error message will not appear.
