Avira Antivirus Scheduler Message problem

Hi friends,

I have bought Avira Antivirus premium.

After I made a research about which Antivirus is better to me and I found that Avira was the most suitable Antivirus for me.

After I installed it, there was no problem but every time I click on “START UPDATE” I found the message below :

The following error occurred when trying to start the update:
Scheduler has not been started..

I also tried to click on “START UPDATE” from the “UPDATE” Menu, but the message above also appeared here.

I want to know what is the problem with my software and is it a problem from the laptop or from the software itself?

I am using Windows XP.

Please help me quickly as my license will get expired without getting benefit from the Antivirus.

Thank you.

Avira Antivirus Scheduler Message problem

Hi,

Avira Antivirus is okay with me. In fact, I am using Avira as an Antivirus on my computer. I also encountered this problem before.

But don't worry this is not a problem from your computer, this is a problem from the software itself and some slight error of configuration. Maybe you did not deactivate Windows Defender?

You can check the Windows system event log, to see if the Windows Defender is blocking Avira modules.

For Windows XP.

Go to Start > Run > type the command " eventvwr", Select system in the event and look for the lines with wind defend in the source column. This is to see the event log.

To deactivate Windows Defender.

1. Click Start  > All programs > Windows Defender

2. Go to extras > options

3. Remove the check marks for the options. Activate on- access protection and used Windows Defender

4. Click save to apply the changes

5. Restart or reboot the computer

You can also check in the service snap in the control panel > Administrative tools > Services and all Avira premium services are started and set to automatic mode.
