Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2013 error

Hi,

I am running Win 7 OS and installed Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2013 but I get an error message opening Revit model in Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2013. I am unable to resolve the following problem so need your assistance. Any idea would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Recently, I just prepared Ravit Model using Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2013 but now I am getting this error message when I try to open this model in Autodesk. What could be the problem? I have tried to reinstall the program but I can’t fix this issue. Suggest me another way.

Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2013 error

One of the major aspects in the new announcement of “Navisworks 2013”, is that you may currently directly load Revit. RVT files into Navisworks in addition to transferring .NWC files from Revit.

They will support the loading Revit documents from three previous releases, so they will load files generated in Revit 2010, 2011 & 2012 in addition to the recent release 2013.

Most of the time these will load correctly into Navisworks with no more work essential; however, there will be events where you may receive the message "There were errors encountered while opening the Revit model. Please open the file in Revit and fix the errors".

This means you will need to repair the file in Revit 2013, this fixes parts of the model that cannot be changed inside of Navisworks. While you save the file in “Revit 2013”, Navisworks can load those elements.

If you don’t own a copy of Revit 2013 then you can still transfer NWC files from the version of Revit you have got installed on the PC. Simply, install the Revit Exporters through “Add or Remove programs”. If they are not already installed then you may go to Add-Ins > External Tools to export a Navisworks 2013 NWC file.
