Audio is not coming on Compaq Presario Laptop

Hi all,

Last year I bought a new Compaq Presario Laptop pre-installed Windows 7 on it. It was working very well.

But recently I started getting a problem that no sound is coming from this. I checked everything like drivers, speakers etc and scanned everything. I tested in safe mode its showing that Windows Audio builder is not running. But it is already running.

Unable to find out what is the problem here? Someone please suggest me to fix this issue. Thanks a lot in advance and best regards.

Hello Anothony,

There might be a chance that wire connected to the speakers may have cut, or speakers itself has issues. You can open up your laptop and check if the wire is disconnected or you can take it to repair shop and they will check it for you.

There might be a chance that your audio drivers got corrupted. Install new sound drivers for your model and save it in your desktop. Now uninstall the old drivers,  install any software which removes the registry and temporary files and restart the system. Now install the new drivers.
