Assertion Failed Error in .NET Framework Installation

I am running Windows 8 build 8108. I need to install .NET framework so I can run some applications.

But when initializing the installation in Add Roles and Features Wizard, it shows an error “Assertion Failed.”

When clicking Ignore and Abort, the window will exit.

When clicking on retry, it will just lead me to the same error message.

How can I correct this faulty message?

Assertion Failed Error in .NET Framework Installation

Assertion Failed, read the Error Message. Click on retry if not click on ignore. Apply the basic troubleshooting, check the problem and what causes it. Maybe you did not install it correctly. Checked pretty much all threads and got lucky. After, re-install it correctly and read the instruction put the code correctly and re-check it. If it still not working, try to contact someone who is capable of working that kind of problem. Let the expert do the job. You also ask them what are the do's and don'ts with regards to the installation to prevent such problems to re-occur.
