I downloaded Jasc Paint ShopPro8.0 in the computer when I try to launch it the problem triggered. I got an Application Virtualization Error message saying the directory name is invalid. I don’t understand the error message. How to rectify this error? Please help to solve this error. Thanks.

This error can’t be a sign of a compatibility issue if you are using Microsoft Windows XP because in the first place the operating system is supported. Among the operating systems that Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 supports includes Windows 98 Service Pack 2, Windows 98 Second Edition Service Pack 1, Windows Millennium, Windows NT 4 Service Pack 6a, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
If you updated your operating system then I think it is necessary to reinstall Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 if you are experiencing a problem. It is normal actually for programs to show signs of problem after an update. Uninstall Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup.
Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” from the list, click OK, and then wait for it to finish. Restart your computer afterwards and then install Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 again. This should fix it. If you updated Windows XP to Service Pack 3, try upgrading your application to PaintShop Pro X6 Ultimate. It supports x86 and x64 Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
