Try https://www.stellarinfo.com/mac-data-recovery.htm to scan your device to preview all possible recoverable files. I suggest you not to further use the drive from which file got deleted. You might overwrite the location of deleted files.Â
1) Install the tool on Mac (Intel & PowerPC both are supported)
2) Launch the recovery option & select the drive from the menu.
3) Scan the drive & wait. You will see lots of preview appearing of recovered files. After the scan gets over you can double click the files from the left side menu to launch preview. This help you make selective recovery.
4) As data recovery tools are not free ware to actually save the files you have to purchase the software.

There is a really powerful and easy to use program for you, it is called REMO Recover. Here is the link. Using it is really easy, simply scan you hard drive, preview and select what you want to recover, and recover what you deleted.
Please note that you must be logged in to your Mac as a System Administrator.
