AOL Software Corrupt and Unreadable

Hi, I want to know how I can fix an AOL software .exe that is corrupt and unreadable. 

I already have run such tools like the checkdisk utility to try to resolve it, but I still get the same error.

Anybody can help me how to fix this error myself?

AOL Software Corrupt and Unreadable

If the .exe file of the AOL application got corrupted and using any disk utility application did not give much help, you may need to uninstall and then reinstall it. If you don’t have its installer, you can download it again at and install.

If you are using AOL Desktop 9.7, here are its system requirements:

• Pentium 266MHz or faster processor
  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8 Beta
• Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7.0 to 10 Beta
• 800 x 600 screen resolution
• 128 MB RAM
• 250 MB available hard drive space
• Internet connection

Every time you install something on your computer, make it a habit to always make a backup copy of the installer or setup file. It always comes in handy during this time when you are encountering errors with it. To avoid this kind of problem in the future, always have a regular maintenance schedule on your machine.

And when doing maintenance on your computer, don’t forget to run a full system scan on your system with your antivirus. And don’t forget to update your antivirus regularly.
