Hi Tech professionals,

I am getting this error message, totally upset and I googled and tried lot of things but no luck. For you information I used card reader to import files and with the cameras directly. The 5d footage is from a 5D Mark II.Is it any problem with FCP X? Please help me to find the root cause of this problem and guide to solution. Thanks

Well this is very troublesome. What you do is for your 5D clips you copy only the .mov files into a folder of your external drive or you can save in other locations and import from there. Just ignore the .thm files and have an archive of your clips. Just copy all the contents of the card and click import from your camera. First of all create an event, click import from your camera and the card should show up. Try using a P2 card reader and then import directly from the camera via firewire.

Or, maybe sometime it so happens that something is corrupted on your external hard drive. You just try to import the footage into another hard drive that may be an internal hard drive. Probably, this may work then.
