Hi tech Pro,

My system configuration is Windows 8 with 64-bit operating system and 500 GB hard disk. I have After Effects CS3 version in the system. I regularly update the system and antivirus. I get this error message whatever I try to do in After Effects. Do I need to reinstall the After Effects again? Please help me to fix this error without reinstallation. Your help is great.

This error is related to cache size "After Effects" uses. It usually occurs when you have the temporary folder After Effects accesses in a non-default location. To fix this problem, do the following:

1. Start After Effects, go to "Edit", go to "Preferences", click "Media and cache drive".

2. Choose a different location for "Disk Cache" and "Conformed Disk Cache", preferably one that is not on an external or a solid state drive (SSD).

3. Restart your computer.

Alternatively, make sure that your Windows user's account has its "temp" folders in their default positions.
