Active Directory is a service that Microsoft developed for WDN (Windows Domain Network). Active Directory is used in almost all Windows-based systems in processes and services.
The advantages of Active Directory are the following:
- With Active Directory, it is possible to manage many users in one place rather than having them in every application’s database separately.
- It supports the Delegated Administration that lets the departmental admins manage their systems in their respective departments.
- It provides limited access to different users. Not everyone gets all the access.Â
