I am trying to update Windows 7, but I am getting an error, which is Windows 7 update error 80072ee2. I tried restarting my PC as usual, but I was unable to fix it. Please help me out.
First of all, run the troubleshooter. Follow the steps below –
1 – Search troubleshoot in the Start menu and hit enter.
2 – Select Windows Update from the list.
3 – Click on “Run the troubleshooter.”
4 – Wait for the process to be completed.
5 – Click on “Apply this fix” if it appears.
If the trouble-shooter does not help, try this –
1 – Search Run in the Start menu and open it.
2 – Type “regedit” and hit enter.
3 – Search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and expand it.
4 – Search for SOFTWARE and expand it.
5 – Search for Policies and expand it.
6 – Search for Microsoft and expand it.
7 – Search for Windows and expand it.
8 – Search for WindowsUpdate and expand it.
9 – Click on AU.
10 – Right-click on it.
11 – Click on Delete.
12 – Restart your PC.
13 – Look for updates.
