In the market almost all SLR cameras includes some of the latest basic features to shoot Raw images. The reason why you get this error is  may be you have an older version of Camera Raw import  software (plugin) and the image was captured using the latest camera.

Follow the instructions below in order

1. Search for the minimum version of the Camera Raw plug-in that is required to support for your camera.

You may find  for your camera in  Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras.

2. .  May be your version of photoshop is not compatible with your Camera Raw plug-in version . Then use the Adobe DNG Converter which helps to convert the raw image files from the same camera.

3. Upgrade with  the latest version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

4. Check for Camera Raw updates that support your camera.

5. Also check with :

mac Photoshop>About Plug-In>Camera Raw

windows Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw
