I am new to working on Microsoft PowerPoint. On starting PowerPoint, I can only see one slide only. How can one add new slides in a PowerPoint presentation? Please reply to this query on the use of Microsoft PowerPoint ASAP.

When PowerPoint opens there in only one slide in the show. A new slide can be inserted into the presentation using the new slide option available in the home tab as shown below.

There are two ways to utilize the New Slide option:

1. If you click on the bottom part of the New Slide option, you will get a cluster of layouts for the presentation. You then choose a layout according to your requirement, and the slide will be inserted with that layout.

2. The second method is much simpler. One just needs to click on the new slide option present in the home tab. A new slide with the default layout will be inserted in the presentation.
