I recently downloaded the ACDSee Demo version for editing and adding effects on my photos.  Why is it that when I launch the program, it only shows a black screen then crashes?  I'm on a Windows XP 64 bit system.  Thanks.

Hello Bolton Sonder,

I hope you have download an unsupported version.

Means you have download the version which supports windows XP or older.

The Demo versions usually makes such problem when you will purchase the complete software then you will never see this problem.

In fact, sometimes the display and media driver files make such problem, because the ACD See program has to contact with all these files.

So that if there is a single file in trouble then the whole program will be in trouble.

Please purchase a full version and try again to use it.

I hope you have understood.

Thanks

If you installed the demo version or the trial version, check the system requirements again. ACDsee offers many different programs. Check the system requirements of the program you installed and make sure your computer meets the requirements. Go to ACDsee Product Trials then click the application you installed. Also, since you installed the demo version, check if the trial period is not yet expired.

ACDsee offers free trials for download. These trial versions are fully functional full versions of the programs which work for thirty days (30). After this period, the program will stop working and you need to purchase it if you wish to continue using it. If you have a paid version, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it.

Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select ACDsee among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install the program back.
