I want to ask about the video that the DAT format, then I would download 2 video file format DAT, I want to ask if the video format that I downloaded the DAT can convert not to MKV or AVI? And if for instance you cannot, it cannot video format DAT files are grouped so?
The DAT format is used by Video CDs (VCDs). You will most commonly see it with the filename AVSEQ01.dat when you try to view the contents of a Video CD. If you want to convert DAT to MKV or AVI, please do the following steps:
1. Convert it to MPG (mpeg) format. For conversion, I personally use VCDGear to perform the DAT to MPEG conversion. VCDGear also has the option to fix MPEG errors.

2. Once you have generated an mpg file, you can use any video conversion program such as Freemake Video Converter to convert it to either MKV or AVI (or any other format you choose).

You should convert your video format in too many video format like mpg, avi, etc. You can change it by using video convertor software. You can download from here http://www.xilisoft.com/video-converter.html. At first you should setup this software and choice many other format from the list and click incode. I think it will help you.
