I have enabled Remote Assistance on a new laptop and I hopefully solve any minor problems of the user of that laptop that he might have from home. But, to use Windows Remote Assistance, I need to know the laptop’s Fully Qualified Domain Name. In the system, the Full computer name is displayed as x-PC (x is just the user’s name) and Workgroup as WORKGROUP, and this information is not sufficient.
I need to know that how do I find the Fully Qualified Domain Name as completely?

My spare computer which I rarely use i.e. Windows 7 net book and Vista laptop they run better after they are used a bit and shut down a couple of times and used again. This seems to me they respond to exercise. Does Windows need regular exercise to work well as I guess Windows may be the key here?

I successfully moved GP9 from Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 server before I upgrade to GP10. However, when I try to log on to GP on the new server it messages me that my license is only for MDSE. I checked the license information on both servers and it was same. Both servers are running the same version GP9. Is there anything that I should do with this issue?

I have an old HP Compaq Presario laptop that runs Windows XP for 24/7 without unplugging the battery. I want to know if this is advisable that the laptop is working all the time. Is it secure or will it cause harm to my computer system? I downloaded and installed Windows updates that sum up to a huge file size. Please send me some advice regarding this matter. Thanks.

I am trying to launch Hold’em Manager Poker Software on my Windows 7 computer. But it comes out with error message as shown below.
I have searched online and some forum is explaining that this error is due to Firewall or Windows Update Issue.
I just don’t know which step is next to it.
Can someone here please help me?

I have a problem and it has become a real hassle. It happens whenever I switch on my PC. Two minutes after, the Windows 7 would revert back to the Windows Basic. At that time, I could not go back to windows 7. After an average of 5 minutes, it would switch back to normal.
This always happens whenever I log in, especially during the time when I am from hibernation.

Why is that my computer is shutting down after my friend installed the Windows 7? I have my Antec 650w True Power supply. And I’m always making an monitor to the watts and they’re all stable. And the temperatures are all fine. Does the RAM that I bought is the reason why my computer is shutting down? For now, I am recently getting an HD4850.

Windows XP is installed in my drive C. I downloaded Windows 8 and installed it to drive D for a test drive. Unfortunately after the installation, I could not boot back with Windows XP. I ran it with repair setup and was able to boot XP again, but now I could not run Windows 8. How will I be able to boot my pc with dual-OS?
Please help.
