Windows OS

Windows OS

I have a computer that is running on Windows 7 and it has a problem that I am unable to do away with. I started a particular game and then closed it. But the weird thing is that even after rebooting it, the computer thinks that the game is still running. I don’t understand this. I have tried several things but none of it has solved the problem. I am now desperate for your help.

I am using a new HP computer that is running on Windows 7.  I am however having difficulty setting it to display the Google logo – red, white, green.  The IE world icon does not encounter any problems at all and is being displayed properly.  In Win XP I was able to change the icons easily as there were several options to choose from.  I would also like to change the files on display only as an open envelope on the desktop.  Please help. Your ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I installed the latest windows 7 trial thinking I could create more folders. After the installation it works great but, for now, my entire system is crawling. Even the resizing of my windows takes time. Is there anything else that I should do before I decide to uninstall this latest trial?

In Windows XP3, MS Office is already included in the pack.

But when I installed a Windows 7 in my computer I found out that it doesn't have a Microsoft Office.

Is it natural?

Do I really have to download a separate MS Office software for Windows 7?

My connection to the network is in my work profile and not connected to the domain. I recently installed a Windows 2008 server and I want to utilize its Network Discovery feature. I can connect to the Windows 2008 server through my computer’s IP address/name and the Windows firewall has been configured to make an exception for Network Discovery on the public and private networks. Printer sharing and file sharing are enabled so files can be moved from the server and back. Why is Network Discovery not working? What else do I need to do to get it to work?

Please help.

The recovery partition in my computer was accidentally removed and no recovery disc was made. I am thinking of restoring my system to the original factory settings. Does anyone know if the recovery partition can be downloaded? If not, I would appreciate any help in creating a recovery partition or in restoring my system to the original factory settings.
