I am using SUSE and I want a Linux terminal command to search Unix hierarchy files with a pipe in their name, and rename them to dash.

Any idea as to how this can be expressed?

What are the steps to partition an HD if I want to install openSUSE, like GNOME or KDE, when I already have Windows installed? Also, how do I install the repositories after installation?

I installed openSuse 11.0 for my Linux OS and downloaded catalyst 8.9 to be installed after. Then, I completed the installation of Catalyst 8.9 by following the ‘Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)’ site’s instruction and the installation was a success. (I can tell that the driver was installed because I was then able to enhance my screen resolution). In spite of this, I came to face an error message when I tried starting the catalyst control center. The attached error message will give you a better idea.
