Hi there! I am having a problem connecting my laptop to the television using an HDMI cable. I was actually able to do it before but now it has stopped working. Whenever I connect the laptop to the TV using the HDMI cable, the laptop screen would just go blank like it isn’t receiving signal; the TV would not respond either. I tried disconnecting the cable but the laptop screen would still remain blank and I would have to keep on turning it ON and OFF just so it would start again. I tried updating my drivers but I didn’t get any results. I also have the Uniblue Driver Scanner but it doesn’t detect any update for the drivers. Can you explain to me what could be wrong? Is it possible to set up a partial yum repo when I want to do some combination for the normal scientific Linux repo and local rpms on my NFS server?

 I have realized that my transfers are very slow especially if I mount an NFS area during % post that is during a kick start based install. Are there any other options that I should mount with so as to speed them up?

I have a Lotus Domino that is successfully running in our company and I want to upload some documents. The simplest way I can find is to have template of the Lotus Notes document library. Does anyone have any comments on Domino Wiki, DocPublisher or Doclibrary? I could explain this database to an intranet portal. Are there solutions which are ready to use for Lotus or is it easier to use Wordpress or Drupal? 

Whenever I am using my laptop at home, it’s connectivity to the internet is usually very poor and at times, it doesn’t link up to the internet at all. However, when am outdoors, the internet connection is usually superb. Some time ago, I was informed about a possible solution, which required that I overhaul the service pack 2 in order to solve the problem. Well I realized later that I had initially already installed service pack 3 as soon as I had installed windows XP with service pack 2. Well I am now just trying to figure out whether I have to install windows once again via service pack 2 after which I sum up the patch then add service pack 3. What is the way forward or can it just work after adding the patch immediately?

I am urgently in need of a person, most likely a router who may have some already loaded firmware that can enable me appropriate allocations to my clients on my system set up on IP or MAC.

 If we have been using laptops in our “remote” office and we want to bring them back to home base, can we sync them with our base camp desktops and continue getting all emails together on both machines? Thanks.

Good day my fellow! My Linksys router has never given me peace since it detaches connections from the internet when I use it on wireless connection devices like my laptop. Well the connections and disconnections alternate since it connects for a while and then disconnects. According to me, I think the wireless set up is alright since the router can link-up to the internet. Furthermore, after looking into the settings of the laptop and the router, I found no fault in them. I really don’t know what to do next. I definitely need your help.

My computer in which I installed XP operating system can only get access to Google website and cannot log on to any other sites. Kindly give me your assistance because this has caused me much worry. Surprisingly, other operating systems that I have on my other computers like vista and windows 7 operate efficiently. All my efforts to try and resolve this situation have proved futile.
