I have a question regarding SQL *Loader. I want to know the difference between Conventional and Direct Path Loader. And also, what are the restrictions in the direct path loader?

Can you give a statement, so I can fully understand the logic of the differences between the two?

Hello experts,

I have  troubled connecting to the database and  I am  facing this problem after I installed several software such as mail server and also after I enabled my IIS on my Windows 7 OS. I have done reinstalling IIS and as well as re installing my WAMP server but no luck at all.  After that I installed it back, it displays an error  MySQL Error Code is 2013 while connecting to the Database.

What causes this error? Do I need to replace my server? MySQL version is 5.0.18. Or is this something to do with conflict in ports? I just don’t have the knowledge to overcome this problem.

I’m trying to create Microsoft Visio Database Model Diagram and need to do a reverse engineer a Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

While doing Reverse Engineer through the Wizard, Visio asked me for the user credentials. I gave the correct username and password after which I received the following error message:

“The currently selected Visio driver is not compatible with the data source.”

I tried the older version of SQL and reconfigured. I still receive the above error. I’m badly in need of any advice.

I encountered, this message when I updated MySQL Server 2005. I heard that it is better to update my table so I did it. After connecting to the SQL server 2005 instance via a DAC (dedicated administrator connections) this error appears. Any suggestions?

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

Is this possible ?  Can I forward my MYSQL database to a new domain and the new server with all the customizations enabled?

I have a Debian server, that I have installed LAMP.  Everything was running smoothly. I was connecting through konsole to MySQL and through phpmyadmin without any problems until recently.  For the last week, when I'm running 'etc/init.d/mysql start' from the konsole, I get the following message:

"Stopping MySQL database server: mysqld.
Starting MySQL database server: mysqld.
Checking for corrupt, not cleanly closed and upgrade needing tables."

Also, when I'm running 'mysql'  from the konsole, I get the following message:

"ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)"

Any ideas?
