I have an Acer laptop with Windows 7 installed on it.

I am building my own PC. When I purchased an Asus Motherboard P4C800E-Delux and put it on my PC, I started receiving issues when trying to connect an external drive to any of my USB ports. The external drive cannot be read and the error says I am plugging a high-speed device to a non high-speed port. All the ports on my computer are 2.0 variant. My printer works fine with it. Sometimes there is a delay reaction when we swipe our fingers to the screen. I want to know which way is better to swipe our fingers, is it horizontally or vertically? I am using a surveillance DVR system for security purposes. But I could not locate the entire videos that I recently saved on my DVR when connected with my PC. I tried searching but I was unable to find my videos when DVR is connected, but when I disconnect it from the PC, I can see the videos on my surveillance cam. How can I retrieve those video files and play it with my computer? Please help. Thank you.
