As the title says, I have a Seagate Hard Disk Drive but it was damaged and a friend of mine somehow made it work.

He told me that I must remove some bad sectors, and it will be as new but smaller.

I have no idea how to do this, but I am sure with your help I will make this Hard Drive work.

So please help me to get Seagate HDD bad sector remover software.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Some friends told me that If I want to get rid of a virus, I should debug my HDD and I will find online instructions on how to do this.

I have never performed a task like this, and I know for sure that there is a virus stuck in my PC.

Tried several antivirus software but nothing.

And I thought that Techyv will be able to help me with my problem.

So I ask you guys, if you could explain to me how to debug a hard drive and get rid of this virus thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Hard Drive that a friend gave to me, but it is locked. I understood that this means I do not have direct access to applications.

The basic issue is that I need to recover some files from it, but since it is locked, I don't know how to do this.

Can you help me to unlock it or tell me how can I recover data from locked Hard Disk?

I am getting the following error cyclic redundancy check when I try to back up onto my external hard drive. I have become very frustrated to fix it by many other ways including searching. I could not solve this problem so I need your assistance with full solution. What is the cause? How can I remove this error? Any idea would be appreciated.

Hello fellow members. 

I just installed a 1 TB Seagate HDD apart from my 500 GB HDD on my Windows Vista desktop. 

How do I partition my HDD? 

Can I also shrink the size of the partition I created in time? 

How do I also merge my 2 HDD’s?

I plugged my hard drive to my Windows Vista laptop and when I tried to delete some files, the access was denied because I didn’t have the correct security code. When I tried to change the security this message popped up: “Error Applying security an error occurred while applying security information to: E:…. Access is denied. Should I try changing the Admin account? What do you suggest I do?

Why the operation was aborted and there is an object that is not found as shown in the picture above. There could be some trouble in the Object Manager.
