Database
I’ve just upgraded my LDAP authentication module from 2.1.5 to 2.1.6 and in log window, I observed a strange behavior of the said app. Before, upgrading to 2.1.6, auth_ldap can get information only in {ldap_servers}, but in my current version ejab start contacting sub domain controllers which makes nearly DOS. Besides, whenever a user tries to log-in, ejab starts connecting to all DC controller, including no defined domains, even if they’re restricted to managing sub domains only. If you have more than 20 DC with weak support system and X000 users logging in at the same time, this will definitely create a big mess. Can anyone teach me how to force ejab to make authentications via defined LDAP servers? Thanks a bunch in advance.

To my understanding, it is possible to disable the data memory oversight in your data warehouse.
Can you please affirm or correct my knowledge?
If possible, I also want to inquire on how to go about this process; including the migration of data to specific bins.
May I also ask for a reference of the step-by-step guide to help me with the process?
Thank you.

The DBA customers raise the question. Lynch Server is used by the universal group to have rights to read or write on the related RTC databases in SQL. Lynch server computer account itself are member of RTCHS Universal Service.
Question is that use the "Network Service" or the "local system" as the service account; can he write his own service, and can this service change the SQL database?

Hi All,
I just lost two thousand records from the Assets table. I also lost more than two thousand records from the associated tables of ‘Time Assets’ and ‘Asset Billing Rate’. All these tables are using ‘id field’ as primary key. I could bale to locate the records which had lost. But when I tried to insert those entries from the backup with the ‘Set Identity_Insert’, it failed miserably with an error message which says that ‘duplicate key cannot be inserted in database’. Please help me to solve the issue. Please help me to get out this problem.
Thanks in advance.

We are using thirteen systems in our office and twelve systems in our laboratory. I think all systems are using the OS ‘Windows XP Service Pack 2’. Separate LAN connections are there in both places. I am planning to have ‘Database Server’ for managing our resource database. I have no idea about where will be suit to fix the Server.
Also need to know about the required specifications of a server for us. Can anybody give ideas to solve this problem?

My problem is about reducing the size of the database which is 6.5TB. Can someone help me on how to trim my database size? My data warehouse system is growing bigger and bigger. It has reached to an average growth of 500GB every month. It takes me 19 full hours for my RMAN to back up and save my data even though I already have enabled BLOCK_CHANGE_TRACKING_FILE. My bitmap indexes is there so it is useless to rebuild my indexes. Please help me. Thanks!
