I have recently installed the Norton internet security on my system.

I have followed all the instructions for downloading and installing the software, but still when I open it from the icon on my desktop or the menu, I am met with an error.

I have recently purchased a laptop. A friend of mine suggested me to install trend micro internet security. I installed this software successfully and the installation was fully completed. When I started my laptop, the trend micro did not start. It appeared on my toolbar for a fraction of a second and then it faded away. The following error message popped up on the screen after that:

I just got infected with some kind of a virus namely PUP.BundleInstaller.OI. I didn’t have the slightest of idea what it was. I thought it was a downloading auslogics disk-defrag.exe file but unluckily I was wrong. I scanned my system using four different antivirus software's. First scan was done with Norton antivirus resulting in no viruses followed by ad-aware with the same results. Thirdly I used superanti-spyware but this also detected no viruses. Lastly I used malwarebytes and it detected a virus, and I finally deleted it.

I could not modify the real shield in Avast or switch on Windows Firewall.

Information from Avast:

Avast! Will not be able to protect mail/news (fault 10050). Please confirm if the Avast is not obstructed by the Firewall.

Avast! Is not obstructed by Windows Firewall due to the fact that I allow it.

Run-time error '10050':

Because some of Antivirus is I already used and experienced what or how they Protect Pc from Viruses, Can you give me some which is worth it.

Hello to all,

I am presently using an older version of AVG antivirus.

Last night, while surfing through the net, I found a latest version of AVG, which was free.

Now, I want to replace my older version of AVG with this new version, but my system is not permitting me to do so.

Each time I try to load the new version, I get an error saying: 'Error code oxcoo70643', which says they cannot remove existing version.

It is creating a hindrance in the installation of the new version of AVG.

Can anybody help me in solving this issue?

I am currently using windows vista on my system. The antivirus I am using is Microsoft Security Essentials, but now, I want to switch over to Panda antivirus. I tried to uninstall the Microsoft security essentials antivirus, but the system doesn't let it go. An error appears on the screen, which shows only the code, and that is:

'code 8007066F'.

How can I understand what this number means when it is not described properly?  Not even a single word is written for describing this code.

Can anyone help me resolve this problem? How can I uninstall this antivirus without resulting in any errors?

Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.

The use of a computer is new to me. I have recently purchased one, but I am not groomed well in using a computer. I want to download an antivirus on my system. A friend of mine recommended me to use eset smart security 5. It's a month now that I installed this antivirus and it was working up to the mark, but all of a sudden, it stopped working. A message appears on the screen, which says to remove any other antivirus, if installed into the system. I had also installed the Norton antivirus. As directed by this message, I removed the Norton antivirus and now I am again trying to install the eset antivirus, but it always gives me an error code. The error is 2878.

Does anybody know what this error means?

I own a Toshiba laptop (5.x) and am attempting to install Windows ESET Smart Security 5.

During the installation process, I  got 3 different errors.

I receive the message “Error: 1 (error 1)” or “Error 2878” or “Installation Error.

Please try again, or download and install offline installer”.

Please help me install this software.

For a couple of weeks now I am getting an error message from NOD 32 antivirus every single time I boot up my computer. I did a little research and people seem to think it could be a virus, I have scanned all my hard drives (quick and thorough) and nothing comes up, it just appears to be normal. I have included the log so you can see it.
