I had a processor that malfunction due to power and I wanted to downgrade the processor to an Intel core i3, does the core process provide for compatibility with the core i5 for the processor? are there some features of the processor that are likely not to function? I want to be sure before I venture into this

I have heard about the threading technology support by Intel in their core processors, What is the threading maxima in the i3 core processor? What is the maximum level 3 cache that their processors can support. Is it possible to interchange this with a Pentium 4 processor? Are their compatible?

I have a PCI network card that I upgraded to improve my networking experience but It refuses to function. I have installed the driver but it does not seem to operate. Could there be a problem with the adapter or is there a sort of compatibility issue with this? I want to connect through this card

I have installed a PCI sound card on my system but it does not seem to function, I have tried trouble shooting but it still does not work. Instead the sound still is channeled to the internal sound card and i have tried to switch this off but it does not seem to function. How can I channel my sound to the PCI device alone?

I have a Conextant sound card but its specification shows that it supports a 5.1 surround system however when I connected it to my home theater it does not initialize entirely. How can I troubleshoot for this? I want to be able to use my system on my computer and enjoy the sound. Is there something that could be missing?

I keep seeing the term " hot swappable hard drives " Is this the same as a external drive?  Or is it a type of internal drive? What makes them be termed hot swappable? Where did this term come from? And do I need a drive like this for a online business website?

I have a realtec sound card that until recently refused to play sound, I have tried system restore, reinstalling but nothing seems to work. What else could be the problem? The icon for the sound displays a mute sigh but no unmuting is possible. Is there a way that I can rectify this? 

I have a C++ decoder that I have recently acquired, Im have not used it much but I have been trying to compile a programs and it keeps on giving me a syntax error. Could this be the version of the compiler because the original programmer says he had no issues with the commands but my machine seems not to work with this.

I have a cloud account that runs my backups from my PCs however their has been a slower connection speed to this servers from my machine, I have tried to trouble shoot and my network speed just seems ok.
