I am currently looking to install Ubuntu on my nexus 4. I have checked the site and it is on the approve list of devices that can support the software. Are there any risk in changing the software type on my phone? Can it have any effect on the hardware?

I have an issue with my office pc. Given that I have very poor eye sight, I have been experience issues with the screen of my pc at work. The thing is that the screen flickers a lot. It is a very dated CRT monitor and I was wondering if the flicker is a software or a hardware issue. How can I make it stop?

Recently I was experimenting with my PC by installing Ubuntu on it. I noticed that the installation was not going well and try to abort it midway. Given that my pc already has windows 7 on it, I managed to boot into windows. But now I notice that 70GB that I was going to allocated to Ubuntu is gone. It no longer appears in windows. I just went to the store in order to get a custom build PC. I handpicked all the component and have a technician build it up for me. The issue is that I ordered a 4 TB hard drive on my setup and on windows 7 the pc is ‘seeing’ only 2 TB. I have checked with the technician and guaranteed to me that it was 4 TB.
