How is information transferred from one point to another so efficiently whereas in serial mode, information seems to slow down considerably? Can parallel computation be performed on a normal laptop and how will I have to configure the laptop to perform this kind of computation?

I am having issues using eclipse to develop android app. I was trying some tutorial questions which require the use of the eclipse SDK manager for mobile app development. Unfortunately my tutorial sheet has codes and syntax which are no longer valid in eclipse SDK manager, so I am stuck because I do not know how to replace the obsolete features with newly created ones. I need some help with Photoshop. I am trying to create a 3D image from a 2D image in Photoshop CS6 but I cannot find the option required to do the conversion. After searching the internet for a while, I came by one article which suggested that I need to install a plug-in to get the 3D functionality. Upon further searching, I found nothing to that effect.
