Every time it asks for the passwords of my accounts (gmail, hotmail) in order to sign in.

I'm running Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 on Windows XP.

How can I stop it?

Every time, I choose Save Password but every time it asks again.

I use IRC a lot. But I think it isn't safe because all users can see your ip address any time.
