I'm trying to install File Maker version 8 on my PC, but I can not install it as every time it gives me the error during installation.

Consult the system requirements and all requirements are fine, but I am still unable to install it properly on my computer.

Hi experts,

I am the local administrator of a computer on which Windows XP Professional is installed. I have several applications installed.

When i try to set up some of these applications, i get an error message which states that, the windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file and that i might not have appropriate permission to access the application.

As i said earlier, I am the only administrator on this computer and do not understand how i do not have permission to access these applications.

Every time when i start up my computer ,I get a quick flash with an error message. The error message is as follows:

"Catalyst Control Center Monitor not responding"

I am not sure if this is the exact message, since i mentioned earlier that the message quickly flashes. I did some research and found out that this message is related to the ATI graphics card installed on my computer. My computer started acting funny and I started to receive all types of error messages.

• I tried to do a system restore and that is when I noticed that there were no  existing restore points created for my computer.

Hi all,

I recently had a problem with my laptop which has Windows 7 Home Edition installed on it. At that point I needed to log onto my system using the local administrator account. That is when i discovered that the local administrator account is disabled. I could not understand why. This is not the case with Windows XP Professional. I looked for the option to manage the local accounts ,but could not find that option.

I have a POP 3 account configured in Microsoft Outlook 2007. I have Windows Vista installed on my computer.

I am receiving emails in Outlook, but sometimes i receive double and triple copies of the same emails in Outlook. At certain times, i would not receive double or triple copies of the same emails ,but i would receive double or triple copies of a specific email from specific recipients. I would like to know why Outlook is downloading the same email message multiple times and how this can be prevented.

Recently, I have  started playing Farmville and notice that my browser screen freezes about every minute or two. Thereafter,  I receive a message telling me that there is an unresponsive script.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. Mozilla Firefox is my default browser.

When I check,  in task manager, I see that Firefox is unnresponsive. I also see that Adobe Flash Player is also unresponsive.

My computer shuts down unexpectedly, while i am in the middle of working. It just power offs. 

I turned it back on and after beeping ,it displayed the following message: CPU was shutdown due to a thermal event.

I then have the option to proceed with starting up the computer normally or to enter set-up of the system. 

A few times it failed to start back up and the only way i was able to get it back on was to remove the power cable from the power supply and plugging it back in.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305D laptop. When I put my laptop on, it does not go on. 

When i press on the power button, the battery light on my laptop blinks 6 times and thereafter nothing happens. The laptop does not go on.

The color of the battery light is orange. I know for a fact that my laptop battery is not good anymore. I have not been using my laptop without it being plugged into power.

I recently upgraded from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007. A little while after that my computer was infected. The infection was removed by AVG Antivirus which is installed on my computer.

Thereafter, I noticed that i am not able to open nor am i able to save PDF attachments sent to me in emails. Microsoft Outlook is my default email client. 

When i try opening the attachments, I receive an error message saying that the attachment could not be opened.
