Hi all,

I'm trying to run windows XP through fedora in Virtual machine server v.2. While compiling the modules I got an minor error but I ignored it. I don't want to start the process again. I typed #rmmod. etc and edited the configuration file from terminal.

Still facing this error.

Please help! Thanks.

Hi,

I'm running fedora v14. It's been running for the last 6 months without any error.

I have not changed any system preferences/settings. It's running on Fedora 14 system default setting.

But I'm unable to run VirtualMachine through OSE4.

Help me!

Hello,

I inserted the dvd. Opened up VMware. Selected FC 3 ISO file and VMware detected it.

Then the installation process started. Just after that the process halted giving an error message.

After several research I tried Linux allow (cddma), still getting this error message.

Thanks.

My kid brother used my PC this morning to surf the net, and played some games, after an hour or so, he shut off the computer, now when it’s my turn on using the PC, this pops up at start-up (as shown in the photo).

Is this a virus, a malware or both?

How can I remove it?

While cleaning my custom-built computer today, I noticed that some components are bulging on my motherboard as on the picture below. I have not seen it last time. Is my motherboard going bad? Is there a fix or should I find an immediate replacement for my motherboard?

Thanks

 Hi,

I'm on amd64 board. I put the disk with the video file inside by DVD drive.

Do I have to install libdvdcss2 using terminal via apt-get? I can't run using root.

Is it necessary to update sources list!  I am on gnome environment (if that helps!).

Thank you.

Hi there,

Fedora is new to me. I need to run some windows applications. Do I need new kernel headers? I also tried to setup dkms but no success.

I did apt-get build essential. I was enabled correct repositories already.

I need a solution quickly.

Thanks.

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)
The VirtualBox Linux Kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or
there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the
kernel module by executing
‘/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup’
as root. Users of Ubuntu, Fedora or Mandriva should install the
DKMS package first. This package keeps track of Linux kernel
changes and recompiles the vboxdrv kernel module if necessary.

Hi,

I'm using fedora 8 on i386 linux platform. I'm unable to run local host… but cups is active.

I clicked on ok button but it closed whole application.

What should I do so that I can select the printer and print.

Is by any chance by my network printer isn't configured correctly?

Thanks in advance.
