Touch Screen Not Responding

My phone screen sometimes stops responding, and I leave it for a while. It usually works, and the touch starts working again, but it hasn’t responded since yesterday. I had put my software for update last night, and my phone screen has stopped sensing touch since then. How can I fix it?

I installed the new update on my android phone, and when the phone rebooted, certain apps disappeared.
