Error 2739 on installing Adobe Creative Suite 3

Hello there,

I am having problem with the installation of the Adobe Creative Suite 3 on my Windows Vista OS. I was starting the usual installation process and upon running the Setup.exe file, this error message popped up on my screen:"This software cannot be installed because JScript is not properly registered.

Please repair JScript and then restart the installer." After this, my installer simple closed, and when I tried to check if it was still in Task Manager I found it together with an error message stating: "Setup has encountered an error and needs to close. Error Code: 2739."

This is really bugging me for a while now, so could you people help please.

Any kind of advice is welcome.

Error 2739 on installing Adobe Creative Suite 3

Dear Angel rocco,

According to the error message you got, it seems that the jscript.dll is not registered correctly, try to manually register it by doing the following steps:

For 32-bit Windows Vista:

o Click "Start -> All Programs -> Accessories".

o Right click the Command prompt and select "Run as Administrator".

o Type cd"%systemroot%System32" and press enter.

o Type: regsvr32 jscript.dll and press enter.

For 64-bit Windows Vista:

o Click "Start-> All Programs -> Accessories".

o Right click the Command prompt and select "Run as Administrator".

o Type cd "%systemroot%SysWow64" and press enter.

o Type: regsvr32 jscript.dll and press enter.

Error 2739 on installing Adobe Creative Suite 3

The best solution for this is the use of Adobe Suite Cleaner Tool. This tool will clear all install records of Adobe Creative Suite 3. This tool will not interfere with previous existing Adobe Creative Suite 3, although you may remove them if you choose to. Follow the following steps:

• Download the Adobe Creative Suite cleaner.
• Then unzip AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool.zip.
• Right click on the AdobeSuiteCleaner tool and select open option.
• Double click on the AdobeSuiteCleaner tool.exe to start installation.
• Follow all the on-screen prompt to finish the script. Then press Enter to exit.
•  Now restart your system.
•  Finally start the installation of Adobe Creative Suite 3.
