Skype can’t launch in my Windows Vista OS

Hello,

I have Skype installed on my computer, which runs on Windows Vista OS. Whenever I try to sign in, it asks me to install the new  version. So that is what I did. Now I am getting this error message:

"Could not access network location %APPDATA%."

I deleted Skype and tried to reinstall it completely, but I still keep getting the same error. I've been searching in a number of other forums and I've tried all the solutions they've provided but it still doesn't run.

Every time I download Skype I find the same error.

Can anyone please assist me?

I've tried a lot of things but nothing has yet to work.

So I really need your help.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there, if you have installation problems make sure that you are not downloading alternatively any other programs or uploading images on Facebook…etc.

If your internet is good, then try downloading Skype one more time. Skype setup comes in three packages.

1.  A small setup : https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/

2. Offline setup : http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full

3. Skype business setup which is a MSI file not an exe file which can resolve some issues if your exe is not working.https://www.skype.com/en/business/ use the small setup because it is the most up to date.

If it does not then your Windows system needs to be repaired.

Hi there .

I think you are having trouble with Skype running and showing some errors while logging on .

If re-Installing didn't helped means try contacting Skype from their Skype website at ww.skype.com .

Don't re-Install , First remove Skype from Start -> control panel -> Programs and Features  and then uninstall

Then download a fresh copy from www.filehippo.com and then install it.

If still not working means

1. Right click on the Skype program and then select properties.

2. In the compatibility tab select Windows XP service pack 2 and then click apply and Ok

3. Now run the Skype

Hope you are clear and the problem is solved.

Good luck .
