Hi Fox Riley,

Firstly, need to know version of the iMac's Operating system . Then you have to select the category for the little boys.

1. For digital arts you may choose some multimedia or graphics apps for your kids.

Here you get some of the popular Multimedia and graphics software.

2. For games, you can choose any of the games.

3. For puzzles / Basic learning, you can choose any of the apps.

Before buying make sure your iMac's OS version compatible with the software's supporting OS.
