Unknown PCI Simple Communications Controller device

The PCI Simple Communications Controller device remains as an Unknown Device in Device Manager even though I have installed all the device drivers for the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard. I have detected that the installation of a part of the Bluetooth device driver has failed. Is this creating the problem? How can I resolve the issue?

Unknown PCI Simple Communications Controller device

This error normally comes when an on board device is not recognized by the windows. In your case as you said that Bluetooth device drive failed, so maybe this can be the problem. But most of the times, people just simply download the Intel® Management Engine Interface Driver and this problem gets solved. You should try something similar with your asus motherboard. This is a universal type of driver which contains all the basic drivers for the motherboard. I myself have this driver installed on my system. So it’s a good thing if you download it and give it a try too.
