Which are the best free Antivirus to download

My cousin downloaded a file from the internet and ever since that happened, I started to get a lot of pop-ups on my PC. Also, I noticed that sometimes my mouse pointer is moving without me touching it. Is my computer being infiltrated or something? I have an Antivirus installed and it’s updated. It came free for one year when I purchased my computer. I don’t think it is working properly because I still get those annoying ads.Can you suggest the best free Antivirus software that can be downloaded from the internet? I only know AVG and Malwarebytes.

Hi!

I read your queries about the virus protection and I would suggest you to use  "Microsoft Security Essentials" or the "Microsoft PC Security". Before you download it, try uninstalling the virus protection that you have on the computer and then run a full scan using Malwarebytes, so we can remove all the viruses that you have on the computer.

Here are the steps on how you can install the Microsoft PC Security/ Microsoft Security Essentials:

1. Open internet explorer  on the address bar,
2. Type: file hippo.com.  Enter.
3. The website will open up, look for the virus protection and select the operating system that you are using
4. Then start installing it.

Just follow the steps that you will see on the screen and afterwards run a quick scan again, using Microsoft Security.

Note: Don't  forget to update it, so that new viruses will also be scanned by the virus protection.

Microsoft Security Essentials, is a free Antivirus program, that provides real time protection against viruses, spyware and other malicious software on the computer. This program runs in the background of the computer, while you’re using the computer to check for daily updates from the Internet. The virus protection performs a scan of the computer manually or you can also schedule it at whatever time you want. 

It protects your computer from malware, spyware and viruses. It automatically blocks the threats on the computer. Microsoft Security Essentials icon is displayed as green in the notification area, at the far right corner of the taskbar near the time of the computer.  This indicates that your computer is in good condition, since it's showing that it’s protected.  

If the program detects a problem or threat on the computer, it will display a message with the detected item. It will also inform you, the level of the threat, if it’s a severe infection and the recommended action that you have to do. So you can decide how to proceed with deleting or have it quarantined. You can also use Microsoft Security Essentials to perform a manual scan of a file, a folder, or you’re entire PC at any time.

There are other virus protections, that can also be considered as one of the best virus protections that you can have. Some of the protections are not free, but as long as you have a protection on the computer, you don’t need to worry about infections on the computer.

Which are the best free Antivirus to download

Hi!

I've been using NOD32 for a year now. NOD32 for me, is the best and I will not use any other Antivirus, except NOD32. I can recommend you to use it,  because it helps your PC live and it gives better protection.
