Dragon Medical 10 error: file exists

Hello all

I have recently started using Dragon Medical 10 application.

I installed it successfully on my machine but when I tried to save my progress, it won't allow me to save it.

It results in the following error on my screen:

The error says:

An error occurred while saving or copying user files. The files

'C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication

DataNuance Dragon10Users Airline 77 Wireless 3 currentaco.ini’

could not be copied to 'C:Documents and SettingsAll

UsersApplication Data Nuance Dragon10UsersAirline 77 Wireless

3tbaco.ini’. Try restarting your computer, or reinstalling Dragon.

Error Details: The file exists.

If someone may please shed some light on this issue, I'll be really very grateful. Your suggestions are awaited.

Hello Ammelia,

Do the following:

• First, you will need to exit  Dragon Naturally Speaking, and then open My Computer (Windows XP), or Computer (Windows Vista and Windows 7)
• And then go to the following location: Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:ProgramDataNuanceNaturallySpeaking10UsersUSERNAME, Windows XP: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataNuanceNaturallySpeaking10UsersUSERNAME
• You will need to delete any folder that begins with tb.
• And then go to  the "current" folder and get rid of any folder that beings with "t".
• After that launch Dragon Naturally Speaking, and then try saving, copying or exporting the user profile.

Hi,

When you installed the application, a default location will be created for the files to be saved. Usually it is the Saved Files folder for most of the applications. This location is set as default and whenever you save a file it will go into this folder. You are facing this problem because this default folder has been changed or deleted.

If you have renamed the folder then change it back to the default name. If the folder has been deleted then create a folder with the default name and your files will be save in it. If these steps do not work then you have reinstall the application on your computer.

Dragon Medical 10 error: file exists

This error maybe some kind of permission-related issue but since you are using Windows XP, running the program using the “Run as administrator” option is not necessary and not available. Try to uninstall and reinstall the program and when re-installing, don’t change the default installation path. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it.

Once installed, start Revo then select Dragon Medical among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install the program back.
