Install vmware tools Windows 7 and its pros

I know for a fact that installing an VMware tool is not commonly required but a friend recently told me that there are advantages of it when one install VMware tools windows 7.

That friend told me that it do improve video / audio performances and improve mouse performance.

The latter got me intrigued, for most IT geniuses, care to explain as to how it will improve mouse synchronization?

VMware tools, provide features to your VMware software that facilitates and eases your use like elimination of:

1. low video resolution
2. Inadequate color depth
3. Incorrect display of network speed
4. Restricted movement of the mouse
5. Inability to copy and paste and drag-and-drop files
6. Malfunction of sound or missing sound

The steps to install VMware Tools vary depending on your VMware product and the guest operating system you have installed.

Hi,

I know for a fact that you are aware that VMware tool is optional.

I have to say that your friend is right, VMWARE tools really do improve audio/video performance, mouse synchronization, and much more. It will greatly improve the performance of the virtual machine's guest operating system without affecting your host operating system. The VMware Tools Service handles the communication between the guest operating system and the host.

One of these tools is the VMware User Process, in which, you’ll have the ability to cut and paste text between the guest operating system  and the host operating system desktop environment resulting in an improvement in the mouse functionality and even in the screen resolution.
