When opening Excel interop application through Visual-Studio 2008 received some warnings

Hi Experts,

I installed Microsoft Office 2013 replacing Microsoft Office 2007. When I tried to open Excel interrupt application through Visual Studio 2008 I received some warnings. Those warning are not familiar to me. See the screenshot below. I tried several possible solutions to solve this problem.

But I failed. Finally I uninstalled Office 2013. But still the problem is here. If you have any idea regarding the error message please help me.

Hi,

The error occurred because you have two versions of MS office installed on your computer. So visual studio does not know which version to open. This is the cause of your error. I would suggest you to install only one version of MS office on your computer. Keeping both versions has many disadvantages.

It is up to you to decide which version you want to keep on your computer and which version to delete. Make a list of pros and cons of the two versions. See the features of the two versions and select the one that has features which support your work.

When you decide which version to keep on your computer, first uninstall both the versions from your computer. Make sure all the components are deleted from the system. If there are any files left then delete them manually.

Now, install the version that you want on your computer and restart your system for the effects to take place.

This should solve your problem.
