Is it possible to unformat a floppy disk?

I had this floppy disk with very crucial information. My little boy was playing with the computer and he decided to adventure beyond the gaming. Apparently, he formatted my floppy disk and I have been dying to get back my data. Can someone tell me how to unformat a floppy disk so that I can have my information back? Thanks.

Hello there Richard! Sadly there is no way to retrieve your files especially when the floppy disk was reformatted. You can retrieve files that were deleted from the floppy disk but formatting the disk is a different story. The files were completely wiped out. I'm sorry for your data. If you want next time, you could download free sync software that saves your files in the internet, making you back up copies. Cheer up and I hope you the best! Good luck!
