ERROR:your default mail client is not properly installed

 In my PC an error message comes up and says "your default mail client is not properly installed." I have two emails in outlook which I'm using as the client.

ERROR:your default mail client is not properly installed

 

Errors may have been encountered due to several email clients detected on the computer.

To set MS Outlook as your default email program, just follow these steps:

1. Click Start Menu.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Select Programs.
4. Select  Default programs.
5. Click Set Default Programs.
6. Under the program listed, Select MS Outlook.
7. To manually manage associated file types with Outlook, click Set Program Associations then click Save.
8. To set MS Outlook as a default program to file types and protocols it can open, Click Set this program as default, then click OK.

After this process, reboot your computer. It should no longer display the error message when sending out emails.

Hello Dorothy James,

Have you made any recent change in the system?

Sometimes, this issue is occurring due to the change in the system.

By the way, to fix this, at first set your E-mail client as a default email program which is installed on your computer.

Change your default web browser from here:

Change your default E-mail client from here:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/555566
