 What is the agreement between AT & T and Apple regarding the approval of iPhone applications? Do they share an approval authority?

Do AT&T and Apple share an approval authority on iPhone applications?

Hello Martin Stone,

I do not think AT&T has a hand in the approval of the iphone applications for apple, but it is rather a sole doing by apple. The final decisions whether the iphone applications are to be approved or not approved are made by apple.

As it is in the apple's agreement with AT&T, there is no where that apple has been obligated that it should omit any functionality in any of its apple phone that is meant to enable a customer to use the cellular network for AT&T to originate a Voice over IP session without having permission from AT&T.

Hence it is clear that as to which applications are to be used on the iphone is a decision that is made with apple.
